What is NLVS? “A developing national and secular non-for-profit organization dedicated to serving those in need through community service, education, and health care.”
What do we do? New Life Volunteering Society runs a non-profit free clinic on Saturdays that provides comprehensive primary and secondary medical care to uninsured patients. The clinic serves a diverse population 200% below the poverty line and is staffed entirely by volunteers, including attending physicians, nurses, phlebotomist, pharmacists, medical students, translators, and educators. For more information, please visit the clinic's main website.
In addition to clinical volunteering, the UIC College of Medicine chapter of NLVS hosts various community service events, fundraising events, and social events.
